Russ Riesinger

Russ Riesinger was a television news anchor for WSAV-TV, the NBC Affiliate in Savannah, Georgia. He joined the WSAV-TV News 3 in January 2004. Riesinger has more than two decades of television news experience. He's reported on everything from Presidential Campaigns to Baseball's World Series to some of the worst storms to ever hit the East Coast.
Riesinger is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Before moving into news, Riesinger worked as a sportscaster. He began his television career in Billings, Montana (1981–1983), and also covered sports in Joplin, Missouri (1983–1986) and at WRCB-TV in Chattanooga, Tennessee (1986–1991), where he covered SEC Football and Basketball and the Atlanta Braves, Falcons, and Hawks.
He was an Anchor/Reporter for WTVD-TV in Durham, North Carolina (1991–1995) and the Main Anchor at WCHS-TV in Charleston, West Virginia (1995–1998). At WCNC-TV in Charlotte, North Carolina (1998–2003), he co-anchored North Carolina's "AP Best Newscast" for three straight years.
